Screen Size
You should decide what size do you need your LCD Monitor to be. If you want to play games or watch movies with your computer, you should give preference to buying a larger monitor. But before you go for a large monitor, you should ensure that you have enough space on your computer desk to accommodate it.
Viewing Angle
The viewing angle is an important feature that you need to decide on, depending on what you want to use your computer for. A monitor looks darker and is difficult to view when you watch it from an angle greater than its viewing angle. The monitors with a narrower viewing angle are good if you want to maintain privacy. However, if you need to watch a movie on your computer with friends, you should opt for a wider viewing angle.
Width:Height
There are two types of LCD Monitors available in the market, one with a width:height ratio of 4:3 and another with the ratio equal to 16:9. The latter type of monitors are also termed as Widescreen Monitors. If you want to use your computer for a lot of watching movies or playing games, go for the widescreen monitors.
Response Time
The response time indicates how much time a monitor takes to refresh a video image. Most monitors have a response time of about 12-15 miliseconds, and that is absolutely fine for normal use. However, high-graphics games demand your computer monitor to have a much lower response time.
